1 Month Blog-versary (And My Tips For Other Newbies)

Believe it or not, I’ve been blogging for exactly a month now and I am absolutely loving it. I wish I’d started blogging sooner but perhaps now is the perfect time. I’m really passionate about it and excited as to the opportunities that are out there. I didn’t think I’d get the response that I’ve had and for me to have reached over 1000 views in the first month makes me feel so grateful to those who have read it. It’s by all means not about numbers but 1000+ views is a pretty nice number, lets be fair!

The whole blogging community is incredibly supportive, whether you need some advice on how to change something or need help deciding which plugin is best, someone is always there to help. And to think I’ve been nominated by fellow bloggers for blogger awards makes me realise how many lovely bloggers there are out there. All of this makes me feel like my blog is going in the right direction.

As I’m a newbie to blogging I thought I’d share my tips that I have either learnt in the latst month, or what I learnt from other bloggers prior to creating my blog:

Domain Name
Definitely purchase a domain name and web hosting. Not only does it give you your own space but you get lots of extra features and flexibility including a lot more plug ins.

Engage with other bloggers. Twitter is the perfect place to do this and other bloggers are so supportive and friendly, I wouldn’t be feeling so great about this adventure without them!

Stay organised. This is key. Whether it be setting up a schedule of when you are posting posts or keeping a diary, you’ve got to stay on top of what posts you are publishing, particularly if you are working with brands. This leads me on to…

Review your apps. This is another way to stay organised and if you don’t have access to a notepad and pen the next best place is your phone or iPad. Check out my post on my favourite apps as a new blogger and see which ones might suit you. You never know, these might be a life saver or a game changer!

Most of all, stay positive at all times. I think the nice thing about a blog is that you can look back on what you’ve written and achieved, which is a reminder that you can do it!

I have plenty of posts lined up for the near future and I’m looking forward to where my blog in going to continue to go.

Happy blogging and a massivethank you for everyone’s support x.

Congratulations on one-month of blogging and youโ€™ve done incredibly well! So happy for you, because it has taken me months to get to 1000 views after becoming self-hosted but I loved the tips you shared and Iโ€™m sure they will be very beneficial to newbie bloggers as well! Congrats on one year of blogging! These are some nice tips, but I don’t really have the capacity to purchase a domain or move to wordpress, so I’ve been sticking to blogger for my personal comfort. I also use my journal to keep track of ideas for blogging and my bujo for planning future posts ๐Ÿ™‚
