The Story Behind Nudge Cards
I have always wanted my own business, ever since I was little. I have a passion for hard work and reaping the rewards of such.
Realising quickly how much of myself I had lost becoming a parent the second time around, especially when not returning to employment, and how my mood changed. I found I had forgotten to take care of myself, mentally and physically. I was so busy running about after everyone else. So I developed Nudge Cards. Handy little reminders to look after myself. Fast-forward a few months of hard work, and research, and I’m now sharing them with you. Along with the cards I’m also running a blog so you can see how I’ve used the cards and juggle life with two children. I hope you love them just as much as I do.
What are Nudge Cards
I have seen Kelly’s, owner of Nudge Cards, posts on Twitter in the past and as part of my #SmallBiz support thread which takes place every weekend. Instantly I knew her business was going to be a popular one. After all, self-care is so hot and important at the moment and this is a very unique idea! The strap line is “Make you your priority” which I think is so true especially living the busy lives we all lead.
Kelly kindly sent me a set of the Nudge Cards with a perspex card holder. You get 20 beautiful cards which are designed to ‘nudge’ you into looking after yourself, be it mental or physical well-being. I think these are such a wonderful idea to look after yourself, not to mention how high quality they are too. Quite often you see the word ‘card’ and wonder how thick or durable that means they will be but I can assure you, these Nudge Cards are sturdy as anything!
Each card is so well crafted and the designs of each one adds to the motivational purpose they serve. On one side is a task then on the reverse side is ideas on how to achieve this. So much thought has gone into each card and the relevance and purpose has been more than considered. It’s so easy to forget about your own self sometimes and these cards really give you that motivation and pick up you sometimes need.
What I absolutely love is that they are perfect for taking anywhere and are so easy and practical to implement. You can have them on your desk, or in your handbag, and they are just a simple and great reminder to practice self-care. I particularly love the ‘Take 5 Mins’ card below. It is so true and it is this simple reminder than encouraged me to get out into the garden with a glass of fresh lemon water!
The Little Touches
- My set of nudge cards were sent in this great holographic packaging which I loved! It was sealed with it’s very own Nudge Cards sticker too! Inside were the set of cards tied very beautifully together with rustic string and a super cute tag.
- The perspex holder is a brill way to have these on display and keep altogether.
- All orders before 2pm on weekdays are posted the same day – what amazing service and delivery!
- Kelly also runs a blog (hello fellow blogger!) so you can find out how Kelly uses the cards herself and the benefits she gets from them. She also shares posts on fitting in a business around family life as well.
Nudge Cards can currently be bought as one set however, there are going to be some expansions in the future. This might include more of a focus on certain themes such as diet, relaxation techniques and exercise. I think these will be a real hit with people too!
I’ve teamed up with Kelly at Nudge Cards to give you all the chance to win your very own set of Nudge Cards and also a fab Perspex holder to store them in.
Ends Sunday 22nd April at 8pm GMT. UK only.
